The Renew Your Mind Sparring Group is a unique therapeutic program designed specifically for men navigating Complex PTSD, trauma, addiction, major life transitions, and the challenges of returning to civilian life after combat or transitioning back into the community after incarceration.

The group combines the structure, discipline, and camaraderie of combat sports with professional mental health counseling. Led by a professional fighter and a licensed counselor, participants have the opportunity to participate in a free, supervised sparring and boxing-based training session, followed by an open therapeutic process group with the same men they trained alongside.

Sparring provides a structured environment where participants can safely experience intensity, practice emotional regulation, develop discipline, and build trust with others. Following the physical portion, the group transitions into therapeutic discussion where participants can process experiences, challenges, relationships, anger, trauma, recovery, identity, and the transition back into everyday life.

For men who have learned to survive through toughness and self-reliance, this group offers an opportunity to discover that strength doesn't mean carrying everything alone.

The Renew Your Mind Motorcycle Therapy Group combines the freedom and camaraderie of riding with the therapeutic benefits of an open-process group. Participants ride together to a designated destination, creating an opportunity to build connection, community, and supportive relationships along the way.

Once at the destination, the group gathers over a shared BBQ meal for an informal, therapist-facilitated process group. Participants are encouraged to openly discuss life experiences, relationships, stress, challenges, recovery, personal growth, and the issues that matter most to them in a supportive and judgment-free environment.

This unique group experience is designed to promote connection, emotional expression, peer support, healthy coping, and personal growth while creating a sense of community beyond the traditional therapy office.

A unique mix of exposure therapy and Golf designed and proven to treat social anxiety, antisocial personality disorder, highly self-critical men who struggle with perfectionism, severe, anxiety and overall performative burnout with mindfulness and self guided-hypnosis, and Golf.

At Renew Your Mind Counseling, we believe that healing can happen beyond the traditional therapy office. Through our innovative Golf Therapy Program, we have partnered with a leading PGA golf instructor and course manager to provide mental health-tailored golf lessons that combine professional golf instruction with therapeutic principles designed to promote emotional wellness and personal growth.

Golf offers a unique environment for developing mindfulness, emotional regulation, patience, confidence, and resilience. Under the guidance of both a licensed mental health professional and an experienced golf instructor, clients learn to recognize and manage stress, improve focus, overcome performance anxiety, and build healthy coping skills while developing their golf game.

This collaborative approach is ideal for adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, stress, life transitions, or those simply seeking a healthier way to improve their emotional well-being. Lessons are individualized to each participant's therapeutic goals and skill level, making no previous golf experience necessary.

Renew Your Mind’s Walk & Talk Therapy offers a unique therapeutic experience in a local state park, combining traditional counseling with the restorative environment of nature. Sessions provide adolescents and adults with an opportunity to move, explore, and engage in meaningful therapeutic conversation outside of the traditional office setting.

This approach can be especially supportive for individuals who experience rejection sensitivity, heightened emotional sensitivity, hyperarousal, anxiety, or difficulty feeling comfortable in traditional therapy environments. Through intentional movement and nature-assisted interventions, clients can practice grounding, mindfulness, emotional regulation, sensory awareness, and distress-tolerance skills while working collaboratively with their therapist.

Depending on individual treatment goals, sessions may incorporate guided observation of the natural environment, mindful walking, breathing exercises, sensory grounding, reflective activities, and therapeutic conversation.

Walk & Talk Therapy is designed to create a calm, engaging, and less clinical atmosphere where clients can develop greater awareness of their emotions, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence in navigating difficult experiences.
